Top 20 Food Editors to Follow on Twitter

November 28, 2014

Top 20 food editors to follow on TwitterJust in time for the most gluttonous day of the year—we’re featuring the top twenty food editors to follow on Twitter! There’s probably a dish among that bounty of food on every Thanksgiving table this weekend that is AMAZING and should be selling in every super market, but unfortunately the food and beverage industry is one of the toughest to break into. Once that food product is perfected and ready for public consumption—what’s the next step?

Some PR and marketing of course!

Starting with our tried and true method of sending emails to editors can work wonders, but if it’s time for a little creativity, sending a tweet to the food editor of your dreams might just be the next step!

Since Twitter isn’t yet a well known way to connect with editors, here are some simple rules (just like we recommend with email pitches) to consider first.

If you choose to use Twitter to connect with the publication of your dreams, be sure to:

  • Do your research and know exactly who you’re contacting and what that editor covers— tweet accordingly.
  • Remember tweets are public and should be personalized and used sparingly.
  • Follow the person you’d like to connect with, so if they’re interested they can send you a direct message.
