As a member, you’ll gain DIRECT access to media opportunities from some of the most influential magazines, editors and bloggers out there. The result? You’ll not only save heaps of time, build your email list and grow your social media following, but gain the kind of credibility that’ll set you apart as a market leader.
And I’m on a mission to help product-based entrepreneurs (like you) overcome self-doubt and score the kind of press coverage they want and deserve.
How?
By making pitching the media as easy as possible.
That’s why we serve up PR opportunities right here, ‘round the clock, and in an email roundup— delivered straight to your inbox — so that you can take back control of your press coverage.
My goal? To squash the voice in your head that insists no one wants to feature little ol’ you and prove, once ‘n’ for all, that your products ARE, in fact, newsworthy.
Put it this way—I know what it’s like to blindly send pitch after pitch and only receive inconsistent-at-best results.
I’ve sent thousands of emails to editors and bloggers in my time. And I made A LOT of mistakes when I first started out.
For starters?
I used to make my pitches all about ME. I talked incessantly about my company and why I thought editors should care, instead of helping them locate the products I knew their readers would love.
Once I realized PR wasn’t just a brag fest, I began to focus my attention on each editor:
What was their publication all about?
What had they already written that I’d enjoyed?
What were they working on, right now?
Suddenly, my pitches were 10 times more effective, and I began racking up press coverage left, right, and center.
Another mistake I made?
I sent out press releases en masse, without any kind of personalization. (Yup, I was THAT girl).
Know how many results that got me?
ZERO.
But still I blindly persisted, wondering “Why does nobody write back?”
Another?
I put all my eggs in the PR basket. I forgot that PR is only ONE part of the marketing puzzle.
It’s NOT everything.
You still have to grow your list, engage people via social media, send out newsletters, have great product photos . . .
Put it this way: You can’t sustain a business on PR alone. (But it is a good start.)
I launched my first product-based business selling inspirational t-shirts not long after becoming pregnant with my first baby back in 2006.
And, despite not knowing a thing about how to manufacture a t-shirt (let alone how to print one), I wound up selling over 20,000 in over 300 stores in the United States and around the world — with 6-figure sales just 18 months post launch.
Then in June 2013, I went on to found Soaps to Live By — a business that seamlessly blended my passion for eco-friendly products with my commitment to giving back.
With both businesses, the majority of my sales came from getting featured in the media.
Every week, I’d dive on in—spending hours carefully crafting pitches.
But eventually, it paid off.
My products were featured in over 200 magazines, newspapers and TV shows—including ABC, NBC, Fox, The Bonnie Hunt Show, Redbook, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today Magazine, Ladies’ Home Journal, Self, Shape, The Nest, and many more.
I even got Tori Spelling, Ed Begley, Denise Richards, Sarah Jessica Parker and Sarah Michelle Gellar to wear my t-shirts!
It got to the point that people started asking me what my secret was.
Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of entrepreneurs bag media coverage — from baby, bath and beauty products, to seasonal gifts, jewelry, yoga merchandise, eco-friendly goods, accessories, greeting cards and more.
Put it this way: You name it, I’ve written the pitch!
I’m no longer intimidated by editors or worried about clogging up someone else’s inbox.
I know what it takes to navigate the often-confusing world of PR — and now I’m ready to help you do the same.
